Community caroling, horse-drawn carriage rides, children’s activities and live entertainment make this family-oriented holiday celebration a “must do” on many calendars.  Stop in and visit downtown Piqua’s many stores to choose the perfect gift for your loved one.

7:00 – Welcoming Comments – Welcoming comments from Daniel P. French of the Alfred W. French Foundation

Piqua High School’s “The Company” – Piqua High School Show Choir

Community Caroling (Song books provided.)


6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Live Reindeer – Located near the gazebo.

Food – Hot dogs, chili, and beverages available from Boy Scout Pack 76. Cabbage Rolls and & baked treats from Dobo’s Delights. Kettle Corn from Cumberland Kettle Corn.  B & V Eatz Food Truck. Winans Chocolates + Coffees, Susie’s Big Dipper, Scottish Thistle and Referee Sports Bar will also be open.

Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides – Depart from 400 Block of N. Main Street (near This & That’s Candy on Main) Cost is $1 per person.

Plane Train Ride – Departs in front of Mainstreet Piqua

Piqua Public Library Christmas Decorations – The Piqua Public Library Staff has festively decorated the entire Library.  Definitely worth a visit!

Bonfires – Main Street

Reindeer Games – Stonebridge Community Church, 105 E. Greene Street – The perfect spot for some friendly competition – giant tic tac toe, giant checkers, giant dominoes, connect four and Yahtzee.  Also a warming station with refreshments. Free & open to Everyone!

Christmas Shopping – Visit downtown retailers throughout the evening

Piqua Public Library Children’s Activities – Sponsored by Piqua Public Library. Located in the Children’s Department of the Piqua Public Library.  Enter through the main lobby.

Gotham City Brass Quintet – Located by Barclay’s Men’s Women’s Clothier, 314-318 N. Main Street

Ice Sculpting Demonstration – 400 Block of N. Main Street. Watch an ice sculpture being created before your eyes.  Prepare yourself for flying ice and lots of creativity.


7:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Visits with Santa – Stop and visit with Santa in the lobby of the Piqua Public Library, 116 W. High Street.


Mainstreet Piqua’s annual Christmas on the Green celebration is presented by the Alfred W. French Fund of the Piqua Community Foundation, Premier Health & Evenflo.


Downtown Piqua Holiday Parade

Saturday, December 3 – 2 p.m.

The tradition of celebrating the holiday season with an old-fashioned hometown parade is a long one in downtown Piqua.  Families and friends, young and old, fill the streets for this festive event.  After the parade kids can visit with Santa in the lobby of the Fort Piqua Plaza.

Holly Jolly 5K/10K Run

Saturday, December 10 – 10 a.m.

These annual 5K & 10K runs make use of the beautiful Piqua PATH. Download your registration at or sign up online at  Same day registrations are accepted.  Registration is held in the lobby of the Municipal Government Complex, 201 W Water Street.
