Business Basics: Successful Start-up
Mainstreet Piqua, the Piqua Area Chamber of Commerce and PPP are joining together with the Small Business Development Center to host a seminar on starting your own business. The seminar, entitled “Business Basics: successful start-up”, will be held on Tuesday, March 28 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Piqua Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 326 N. Main Street in downtown Piqua.
New and pre-venture entrepreneurs will benefit from this FREE workshop. Focus will be on the business idea, logistics of a business and an organized pathway toward success. Steps in starting your own business, learn new techniques and how to take action on the many decisions facing small business ownership will be covered: business plans, business structure/choice of entity/name registration, legal matters, business insurance, accounting and taxation, marketing, small business banking and loans, how to register your business with the Secretary of State. Many resources available for small business success will be shared. The class will be taught by Certified Business Advisor Lori Minnich.
